#37 Games and Gaming: Get Your Game On @ The Library

i definatly believe that gaming should be in the library, it's a grat activity that brings kids closer, entertains and distracts kids from destructive behavior in the library, and most can also help kids literacy. i think there gaming will catch on to where every library has some form of game nights or something like that, i also think library will start haveing games for checkout (which would be awsome) but we will have to have some serious security for them before they go on our shelves. perhaps we may even have to keep the games behind the counter like they do at blockbuster or hollywood video. but that would be something to think over at a later time, mabe plastic cases that we'd have to unlock... hmmm.... but i do feel that no matter the arrangement games do belong in the library as service for our patrons especially the younger ones who 9 times out of 10 are more intrested in games that books.
